The One Thing That's Holding You Back
“Believe, and your belief with actually create the fact.” - William James
“There’s a difference between wishing for something and being ready to receive it. No one’s ready for a thing until they believe they can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief and not mere hope or wish.” - Napoleon Hill
As humans we have a well developed belief system that interprets and assigns meaning to all of our experience. More than that, our beliefs reside in the subconscious mind and are therefore in control of our emotional states and our behaviors.
Despite how powerful our they are in our lives, most of us are not consciously aware of what exactly our beliefs are.
Our beliefs are formed upon our evaluation of situations and conditions. If we take the effort to reevaluate those situations and conditions our belief system can change into a pattern that is consistent with our true intentions about how we live our life. To advance in life we MUST do this.
The fact is we will never go beyond where we believe we can go.
The more you study yourself, the more you will realize what an incredible creation you are and the more you will believe in what you can do. Your brain is a highly sophisticated and efficient electrical switching station that is able to process more information more rapidly than any super computer.
The amazing scientific discovery of neuroplasticity has shown that our ability to learn and grow in our mental abilities is almost limitless. In terms of sheer energy, there is enough power in your pinky finger to power your house for a week. In fact, you are a walking mass of power!
It’s important to understand that most of our beliefs did not originate through ourselves. We inherited our foundational beliefs system through our parents both genetically and through early conditioning.
We have the ability to change those beliefs but in order to do that we must internalize our new ideas all the way down to the emotional level.
Start by asking yourself questions:
What do I believe about money?
What do I believe about relationships?
What do I believe about my career?
Once you come up with some answers in a particular area go deeper. Ask yourself: “Do I REALLY believe that?”
Then look at your current results. Do they correspond to the beliefs you have identified? It is our results demonstrate our beliefs more than anything else.
Like all of the rest of the universe, our mind operates by law. The thoughts we internalize set up the vibration we are in. The vibration causes our actions. The action produces a reactions and it’s the action/reaction that creates the result. You can move your life in whatever direction you want by understanding and applying this universal process of creation.
But the limiting factor is often found in our subconsciously held beliefs. Take the time to know yourself and examine your beliefs carefully.
